•Required Minimum User Access - user must have at least one of these assignments: ▪Docs Account Admin or Project Admin ▪Project Role of Document Controller or VDC Admin •This utility will only work in Docs accounts. •You must be connected to the internet. •After loading a Docs project, folder trees DO NOT automatically update when permissions changes are made in that project through Docs. Folder permissions can be refreshed one of three ways: ▪Refresh a folder by right-clicking on the desired folder and select Refresh Folder ▪Refresh a tree branch by right-clicking on a folder and select Refresh Branch ▪Refresh the entire project at the top-right of the Folder Permissions tab
IMPORTANT - Permissions Order of Importance When viewing folder permissions, a Role is always considered the primary application of permissions. Applying a Company or User to a folder is considered an override to the Role. When more than one permission for the same user exists on a folder (Role / Company / User Override), whichever applied permission is the least restrictive is the actual permission of that folder for that user.
This utility is a permissions viewer and has no ability to create or modify the following: •Project permissions settings •Project data (project data cannot be seen at all) •Project users, roles, or companies

Due to limitations or deficiencies with Autodesk Forge (BIM 360 Docs API platform), some known issues can occur while using Permissio. Other behaviors have been added to assure compliance with standards.
Warning when Project Root Folder have been Renamed: Root folders within a Docs project must remain named as created by Docs admin. When a new project is created in Docs from any template, the root folders Plans and Project Files (as intended by Autodesk) cannot be renamed. If either of these root folders is renamed, Permissio will not run on that project. This is an intentional limitation. These folders should never be renamed.
Project Loads VERY Slow: Depending on the size of a project, it may take 2 – 6 minutes to load most projects. Projects with over 2,000 folders may take longer. Unfortunately, this is how the Forge API works – Autodesk limits the amount of data we can retrieve in 1-minute increments. You will almost always see these process indicators while a project is loading.
Errors When a Project is Loading: Error When Opening a Project (1 of 2) If you see this error (image below), that project must be reloaded. When opening a project / while a project data is being retrieved, an error is displayed. See the image below. Cause: Forge server had an error. Project data being displayed is incomplete or could be wrong. Autodesk knows about this issue and has not fixed it. Remedy: Cancel the project load, and reload this project in Permissio

Forge Script Error During Login: This is a known Autodesk login error that randomly occurs with certain browsers, and only occurs during login. Click YES.
Internet Explorer Error during Docs Login: Internet Explorer support for Autodesk products is being discontinued and will cause errors. You will need to change your default web browser..
